About Tara

Unraveling. Weaving. Creating.

Tara Mazurk is a Canadian artist living and working in the Ottawa-Outaouais area. Fourth-generation Canadian of Scottish and Slavic descent, her work is deeply influenced by spirituality, mysticism, and Mother Earth, often eliciting a paradoxical feeling of grounding and transcendence.

Tara received a B.A. Honours from the University of Toronto in Arts Management and Studio Art, curating and exhibiting regularly at galleries and festivals during her time in University. Following her studies, she worked as the staff Curator for Humber College managing exhibitions and its contemporary collection. She also has happily worked over a decade supporting the Canadian arts & culture sector in federal arts advocacy and cultural policy and continues this work in collaboration with
PAA Advisory | Conseils.

She regularly hosts Art Critique Nights with her fellow artists in the Outaouais area in collaboration with
La Fab Sur Mill and Place des Artistes de Farrellton (PAF).
